About the hotel
A half-timbered house over a hundred years old with a wrap-around balcony in the style of a Swiss chalet. The accommodation is homely and partly furnished with rustic furniture. Due to the hillside location on the outskirts of town, you have a magnificent view over Blankenburg and to the castle. A generous room layout, including a heated veranda, provides ample space. In the larger bedroom, two of the sleeping options are pull-out trundle beds. Partial roof slopes on the upper floor.
The house offers the ideal starting point for nature lovers and walkers, who will certainly enjoy the large network of hiking trails in the region.
The suspension railroad takes you from Thale up to the Hexentanzplatz, a fabulous plateau at an altitude of 454 meters. There is also the mountain theater Thale, an old natural theater with 1,350 seats.
Take a day trip to Quedlinburg. Stroll through the picturesque alleys on bumpy cobblestones and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the medieval town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Wernigerode, popularly known as the colorful city on the Harz, is also a great destination with its many beautiful buildings and half-timbered houses as well as the castle and game park.
