About the hotel
The cottage settlement Vesteregn is located in the middle of a picture-perfect nature. Directly to the north are the wetlands Salme Nor and Tryggelev Nor and resting place for migratory birds. Through conservation work, Nørreballe Nor has almost doubled in size, only you will find reed beds, meadows, shrubs and small forests, making it an interesting area for birdwatchers, as it is one of the richest in species in Denmark. The area is maintained and preserved according to the requirements of the European Union for the conservation of natural habitats and wild fauna and flora, as the Flora-Fauna Habitat Directive. Driving south you will come to the fishing village of Bagenkop, where there is also a large marina. On the way there you will cross Klise Nor, which is grazed by wild horses. The grazing promotes a special richness of species.
