Please be informed that in accordance with the Islamic calendar, Wednesday, 22 March 2023 marks the religious occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. In observance of this fasting period for the Muslim community, please be advised on the adjustments in hotel operations, which will be applicable from sunrise time on Wednesday, 22 March 2023 until sunset time on Thursday, 20 April 2023. • Food and beverage service is available throughout the various operating restaurants and bars around both Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah and Shangri-La Al Husn, with outdoor seating arrangements only after sunset. We rely on our guests’ cooperation to show respect to our Muslim community who are fasting and pay attention so as not to offend Islamic values. • Alcoholic beverages will be served after the breaking of the daily fast, in three designated areas of the entire resort –Al Waha, Al Bandar and Al Husn, from 7pm until midnight. • During the day, alcohol may be served through in-room dining and must be consumed in the privacy of your own room. • There will be no background music in all communal areas from sunrise to sunset, however we invite you to join us and enjoy daily performance of traditional Arabic Oud players after sunset, during the iftar meal period. • Smoking is allowed during the day, in dedicated covered areas. Smoking is allowed in public areas from sunset to sunrise. • Shisha service is allowed in dedicated areas from sunset until 2am. • Muslim guests staying over the period of Ramadan may have their breakfast replaced with Suhoor.
